Because Friday is “National Dog Day” and also because animals are such an important part of my life, I wanted to take a moment to share this amazing makeup bag created by green beauty brand, Jane Iredale.
Designed by Jane herself and featuring her own pup, Cookie, this limited edition bag is not only the perfect vehicle to carry all of your green beauty products, but a portion of each bag sold will be donated to the Berkshire Humane Society, a local shelter that improves the lives of pets awaiting adoption. 🙂
Our animal friends deserve the best care that we can give, so why not help them out and get a cute bag at the same time? 😉
Price – $18

Hey, guys! While I am taking a moment to grieve the loss of a much-beloved animal “baby”, I am going to share this post that was submitted to me to use on my blog.
Peace & Love,
This post may seem a bit “off topic”, as it isn’t about green beauty or green living. But as I am having a very difficult time coping with a very recent and sudden loss, I felt the only way to purge some of this sorrow was to write about it and share it. Catharsis and all that.
It’s no secret to anyone who knows me, reads my blog or follows me on social media that I am a very proud and doting animal mommy. I have four cats (all sisters), two guinea pigs (brothers) and now, as of today, 9 parakeets (we started with 2 and 2 turned into 14).
Sometimes when it comes to skin care, especially when you have acne prone skin, less can definitely be more. When my skin is acting up, I’ll generally scale back on the amount of product I am using until it calms down a bit and can handle more. The downside is that I feel like I am neglecting a step that my skin may need, so finding a product that multi-tasks, like this one from Good Karma Skincare, is a real plus!
I had the pleasure of using their Lux 7 Age Defying Four-in-One Face Cream and it hit all the right notes for me and my demanding skin!
Touch Me Skincare is a brand that is as fun as it is clean. With product names such as “Cool as a Cucumber” Eye Cream, “Kiss Me Deadly” Breath Spray & “Happy Ending” Massage oil (of course!), and ingredients that are organic, vegan & cruelty-free, you know you’ve stumbled upon something unique and special.
Shea Terra Organics is one of those brands you just can’t help but fall in love with. Sourcing the most potent organic & wildcrafted ingredients from across Africa, and using whole herbs for synergistic benefits, their products are pure healing superstars!
I’ve been a fan for a long time now (see here) and I especially love their facial oils (constant staples in my skincare arsenal), masks and cleansers. I find that my oily, acne prone & fussy skin responds exceptionally well to their simple, yet powerfully effective formulations.
I was recently gifted with a few products to try and after a few months of using them, I’m going to share my thoughts on each. 🙂
Hey, lovelies! It’s been a busy month here at TBE, and I am finally ready to share one of the many things I have been cooking up in the ole creative noggin! 😉
There are a handful of brands that I continually gravitate towards, no matter what. And of that handful, Annmarie Gianni Skincare is at the top of the list. I’ve raved about them a dozen or so times on my blog (see here, here, here, here and here..whew!), my social media sites, as well as green beauty groups I belong to. The reason is simple – the products work for me. There is something almost magical about every formulation – the ingredients, the scents, the textures, the feel of them on the skin..all working in harmony to provide a most enjoyable self-care ritual. I’ve learned that sometimes no matter how many new (albeit amazing) brands I discover, my skin (and mind/soul) always goes back to Annmarie’s products when it is in dire need of a little extra TLC.
Happy Friday lovelies! Today I have a guest post that focuses on creating a less toxic home environment for your child(or children), and even though I don’t currently have people children, I do have animal “children”, and these tips can be important for them too! 🙂
I hope you guys enjoy this & thank you, Tracey, for the inspiring post! 💚
Peace & Love,
It’s that time again – time to pay your “monthly bill”. You run to the store and pick up the usual “popular” or store brand feminine product and go on your way, never stopping to think for even a second that there could be any health or environmental risks involved in your choices.
For years, that was me – get whatever and go with the flow so to speak. Now, after learning about all of the toxic chemicals that make up those name brand products (not to mention how extremely absorbant our lady parts are), I can no longer just buy “whatever”.
