I’m not going to lie, I am the worst when it comes to cleaning my make-up brushes! I know I need to do it, but I just never seem to get around to actually doing it. Bad, bad, bad, I know!
Enter the perfect solution for lazy girls like me! 😉
Prism Brush Bar was born out of a passion for both the online beauty community as well as natural skincare. Their mission is to create products that will not only lengthen the life of your brushes, but that are good for your skin as well.
Made with vegan, and ethically sourced ingredients, the Brush Bar won’t leave any residue or damage the bristles of your brushes.
Why you should clean your brushes:
First of all, because dirty brushes are just gross! They are a breeding ground for bacteria, which not only can break out your skin, but can shorten the life of your make-up products as well (especially if you dip/swipe your brush into the product itself as it transfers the bacteria to it). Another reason to keep your brushes clean is to ensure proper color application – with old make-up caked in the bristles, you won’t get the look you are going for. Also, cleaning your brushes on the reg keeps the bristles soft, otherwise they can become abrasive and can irritate the skin! And lastly, keeping your brushes clean helps to lengthen the life of them. Clean brushes = longer life for them, better color application, and less breakouts (at least one less thing to cause them!).
STEP 1: Wet your brush. STEP 2: Swirl your brush over your new Prism Brush Bar. STEP 3: Rinse your brush. STEP 4: Squeeze out any extra water from your brush using a clean towel. STEP 5: Let your bar air dry after each use.
This definitely made washing my brushing a much quicker and easier task than how I normally go about it! Generally, I use the olive oil and soap method, but it just seems to take soooo long to get through all my brushes and they still never seem to be clean enough. With the Prism Brush Bar, it literally takes seconds to do and the brushes come out clean (and I mean there was zero make-up left on them)! 😀
If you’re like me and you hate the tedious task of washing your brushes, or they just never seem to get clean enough, I highly recommend you check out this product!
