Eco Beauty Diaries – Products I am Loving Lately Part I {Skincare}

Hello, Eco-beauties! It’s been a while since I’ve shared skin care products with you here on the blog, but I’m back to it and I have lots of goodies to dish about! 😉

Let’s just dive right in, shall we?

First up is a new product from my forever fave, *Annmarie Skincare. They recently launched their Kaolin Micro Exfoliant and it is to die for (as is all of their products, of course!)!

Key Ingredients:

  • Green Kaolin Clay – exfoliating, detoxifying, helps balance oily skin
  • Diatomaceous Earth – exfoliating, purifying
  • Lavender Essential Oil – nourishing, soothing, calming

Why this is worth checking out:

Besides being yet another win from Annmarie Skincare, this is a very gentle skin polisher that cleanses as well as exfoliates, leaving behind a complexion that is soft and radiant. To use, just apply to damp skin (its non-powder form means less mess!) and massage gently in upwards strokes. Rinse and voila! Your skin will be as soft and smooth as a baby’s bottom! $59 (120 ml)

Though this is not recommended for sensitive skin, I have not had any issues using it. Just be mindful that it may be too much for you if you do have sensitive skin.

Full Ingredients:

*Aloe vera juice, *coconut oil, saponified oils (coconut oil and plant starches/sugars), *vegetable glycerin, *diatomaceous earth (silica crystals), *green kaolin clay, aspen bark extract, green tea leaf extract, essential oils of lavender, sage and lemongrass, non-GMO xanthan gum.

*Organically grown or wildcrafted

Another cleansing product that I have been loving lately is International Face Station’sEven Deeper Cleansing Oil & Make-Up Remover“.

Key Ingredients:

  • Sunflower Seed Oil – high in EFA’s, moisturizing
  • Lavender Essential Oil – calming and nourishing
  • Chamomile Essential Oil – soothing, anti-inflammatory

Why this is worth checking out:

If you prefer using an oil cleanser in the mornings or do a double cleanse at night, this product offers a nice, light consistency that removes makeup and dirt and has the added benefit of some anti-acne & anti-aging ingredients mixed in. I don’t know if it is because of the consistency, but just rinsing with water like the directions state is not enough for me. I treat this like I do any oil cleanser and after I massage it into dry skin, I run a face cloth under hot water, let it sit on my face for a few minutes and then gently wipe the oil off. I also double cleanse (at night only), but this oil does leave my skin feeling oh, so soft afterward. $26.59 (6 oz)

Full Ingredients:

sunflower seed oil, hybrid safflower oil, lavender essential oil, chamomile essential oil, tocopherol (vitamin e)

Two face oils I’m currently obsessed with are LA Christine’s celebrity makeup artist adored “No.3 Berry Face Oil” and Back to Basics Skincare’s oh, so amazing “Rosehip Radiance Oil“. I’ll go over each below!

No.3 Berry Face Oil:

Dubbed “magic in the blue bottle”, this signature product from LA Christine contains a blend of berries that provide a powerful antioxidant punch! It features the Finnish Lingonberry, a unique and rare berry that only grows in the Scandinavian-Arctic region and has many amazing benefits for the skin!

Key Ingredients:

  • Finnish Lingonberry – high antioxidant content, anti-inflammatory, high in vitamin’s E & C
  • Raspberry – enhances skin elasticity, helps to reduce age spots, protects skin from sun damage
  • Brazilian Acai Berry – high in Omega EFA’s, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant

Why this is worth checking out:

This ultra light oil absorbs easily without feeling greasy, in fact, it leaves a matte like finish and can be used as a primer under makeup (how I like to use it). It’s very nourishing and hydrating and your skin just looks better after using it! And while this may have a few ingredients that will make the purists out there cringe, I feel that the effectiveness of this over rides any not so perfect ingredients. My skin (as well as my foundation) looks so much better while using this and that is what I have to consider – how well does the product actually work. Besides, my skin really needs all the help it can get to look good! 😛 $58 (1oz); $34 (.5 oz)

Full Ingredients:

helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, euterpe oleracea fruit extract (acai), vaccinium vitis-idaea fruit extract (lingonberry), rubus idaeus fruit extract (raspberry), tocopheryl acetate, phenoxyethanol, capryl glycol, prunus armenica (apricot), natural fragrance, ethylhexylglycerin, hexylene glycol

Rosehip Radiance Oil

This has been my HG face oil for the last few months for hydrating, brightening and keeping excess oil and acne breakouts in check!

Key Ingredients:

  • Organic Rosehip Oil – regenerating, excellent source of trans-retinoic acid, anti-aging, scar healing
  • Seabuckthorn Berry Oil – high in omega efa’s, including the rare omega 7, supports cell turnover
  • Organic Chia Seed Oil – potent form of the anti-aging antioxidant alpha lipoic acid, richest source of omega 3
  • Tomato Seed Oil – rejuvenating, protects against acute and chronic skin photo damage
  • Kiwi Seed Oil – improves skin elasticity, fades dark marks, improves skin hydration

Why this is worth checking out:

Whether you are looking to plump up or brighten your skin, tackle acne breakouts or scarring, improve the look of lines and wrinkles or just want something that hydrates really well – this is your new BFF! I’ve tried many, many face oils over the years and though I have my favorites, this one has definitely risen to the top of the list! It’s not too heavy, sinks deeply into the skin, moisturizes like a champ and just leaves your complexion more dewy and glowy the more you use it. And with the list of super star ingredients packed in its bottle, you can kiss bad skin days good bye! $48

Full Ingredients:

organic rosehip oil, organic grape seed oil, seabuckthorn berry oil, organic camellia oil, organic chia seed oil, jojoba oil, tomato seed oil, kiwi seed oil

Have you guys ever tried any of these products/brands? What are your favorites?

Until next time!

Peace & love,

Brie xo
