Music is such an important part of my life. Growing up, I used to fantasize about being a singer. In college and beyond, that dream came true – I’ve done recitals, sang in weddings, performed solos in churches, choirs, directed a choir, sang on a few recordings, taught private lessons at a local music school as well as my home, and even sang the soprano solos in Mozart’s “Regina Coeli” in Austria and the Czech Republic with the Buffalo Choral Arts Society. In 2004, I had the opportunity to sing the role of Cinderella in my alma mater’s production of “Into the Woods”. Though I may not be performing or teaching at the moment, music is still one of my greatest passions and a great tool in relieving stress and back pain when I can practice.
Here, I’d like to share some of my favorite classical music artists, and resources. Out of all the genres, I find classical to be the most healing, the most therapeutic and just so incredibly beautiful. I am grateful every day that I was blessed with a voice that can sing this type of music and someday I hope to have the time to get back into performing so that I can share that part of me with you too! 🙂
I hope you enjoy what I have selected. 🙂
